What it is

ACCELQ is a commercial codeless automation platform covering web, API and desktop from one interface. Tests are authored in natural language and the platform maintains the underlying locators itself, which reduces the maintenance burden that usually sinks automation programmes. It fits organisations that want broad coverage without building an in-house engineering capability first.

How PerfectQA uses ACCELQ

We use ACCELQ on engagements where the people who understand the process best are not going to write code, and where hiring around that is not on the table. Its codeless model lets a business-side tester build and maintain flows directly, which changes who can contribute to coverage. Our role is usually to put structure underneath that so it scales: reusable action definitions rather than duplicated flows, a naming convention people follow, and clear boundaries on which suites are owned by whom. We integrate runs into the existing CI and defect tooling so codeless tests report alongside the coded ones instead of living in a separate silo — that silo is the failure mode we see most often on inherited ACCELQ projects. We are also direct about where a codeless platform is the wrong answer, and will recommend a coded framework when the flows are engineering-heavy.
