Cursor

Cursor is the editor several of our engineers work in, chosen because its codebase-aware context handles the thing that matters most on automation work: understanding an existing suite well enough to extend it consistently. When you are adding to a framework with established page objects, fixtures and conventions, a tool that can see the whole repository produces suggestions that match the existing structure instead of inventing a parallel one. We use it heaviest during onboarding onto an inherited codebase and during large refactors, where the alternative is an engineer holding the whole structure in their head. As with the other AI tooling in our stack, it accelerates writing and never decides what is worth testing. Output is reviewed before it lands, and we confirm the client’s position on editor-level AI access to their repository before we enable it.
